First Post, First Hello!

Greetings and thanks for stopping by!

The internet has evolved into the internet of things--movies, music, consumer goods, groceries, culture, education, information, and empowerment. The last one can't be emphasized enough. Social media has become the digital bullhorn of the masses, helping individuals with a like cause pursue their common goal, albeit good, evil, or somewhere in between. Nowadays, revolutions begin in both the streets and through digital links, where they catch like wildfire and explode across the globe. Yet the simple fact remains that only those that are "in the know" can take part. Now more than ever, we live in generation where not only is knowledge power, knowledge is often now free and widely available. But those who fail to access this knowledge lose an opportunity to increase their power and potential.

As black parents and caregivers, we must attentively heed the call to prepare our children to lead happy, successful lives, and nurture the power and potential within them. Their precious youth is a small capsule of years within which we must lay the foundation for their greatness.

But laying such a foundation requires tools. One of the most essential tools is knowledge. As parents, we must equip ourselves with information that ultimately benefits our children. Some parents naturally do a better job at this than others. This site's purpose is to help level the playing field by serving as a clearinghouse for  information on scholarships, educational opportunities,  educational activities, and educational resources that may help our children to become 21st century global leaders. Success begins with access, and this site is just one of many that I hope will prove useful in your efforts to help your child reach their full potential.

I'm not paid to endorse any program you'll see listed here. I'm just a curious person by nature, and what you'll find here are simply opportunities I discover in the course of satisfying my own curiosity. I cannot confirm the level of safety, rigor, quality, or otherwise of any of these opportunities. You'll therefore still need to do your research to make sure any program or opportunity is a safe, appropriate match for your child.

Thank you for stopping by. The site will grow with time, so even if you don't find anything of interest here now, please bookmark and visit often!
